Governing Well for CICs

Governing Well is our comprehensive 8 week training programme for CICs. The course is 2 hours each week, delivered by specialist and skilled trainers, providing comprehensive knowledge and insights to support CIC’s on their governance journey.

The course is aimed at strengthening governance, sustainability, financial management, strategy and impact reporting, ensuring that CICs create a strong foundation on which to build their Social Enterprise.

The course is designed to be delivered within a small group, either an individual CIC staff group, or a wider group of CIC leaders from different enterprises.

Ideal for CIC’s, umbrella Support organisations, CVCs, and Funding and statutory bodies. Modules include:

• Directors Roles and Responsibilities
• Tools for building better Boards
• Legal Structures for Social Enterprise
• Financial Management for Social Enterprises
• Earning not Asking- How to create a strong business model
• Creating your Vision, Mission and Strategy
• Impact Reporting for Social Enterprises
• Fundraising on a Shoestring

These training sessions can be delivered separately or combined to achieve our Governing Well good governance certificate and quality mark.
